Brodeur is official

Congratulations to Marty on his 552nd career win as goalie. Tonights 3-2 win over Chicago put Brodeur as the number one leader on all time wins surpassing Patrick Roy. It was only a matter of time, but what really is remarkable to me is that Brodeur missed over 3/4 of the regular season due to injury, comes back and is still as awesome as he was when he was fresh and healthy when he didnt have to recover from an injury. Coming back from a serious injury is one thing, but coming back and still being able to dominate the competition like he has truly shows how great he is.
987 games later, and 15 seasons in the NHL Brodeur has one more task to accomplish. Most shutout wins by a goaltender. He currently sits at 100, and needs 4 more shutouts to surpass Terry Sawchuk who has 103. Im pulling for him to do it this year as he has the skill, and definitely the time as playoffs roll around. The NJ Devils sit atop the Eastern Conference only 4 points behind the Boston Bruins.
(I just hope the Pens dont help him add to his wins list, or shutout record upcoming on April 1st)
