PSU LB Gets More Probation

Penn State's Navorro Bowman was ordered to serve another year of probation today after admitting he smoked marijuana at least twice.

Judge Bradley P. Lunsford issued the ruling during Bowman's probation revocation hearing at the Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte.

Lunsford warned Bowman, a first-team All-Big Ten Conference outside linebacker last season, that another violation would result in jail time.

A redshirt junior from District Heights, Md., Bowman originally was sentenced to 100 hours of community service and one year's probation in May, the result of his role in a fight Oct. 7, 2007 at the student union on campus.

It was noted in the courtroom today that Bowman had not yet begun serving any hours of his community service.

Don't they put people in jail anymore? He violated his probation and hasn't served any of his communitry service hours. A few days in jail may help him out a little bit.
