Yesterday, the Pitt coaching staff was very excited when 3-star (4 on scout) DL TJ Clemmings committed to the Panthers. Clemmings is rated as the number 1 player in NJ by some. He is 6'6" 263, and claims a pretty nice list of offers. He claims Pitt, Maryland, Georgia, Notre Dame, Penn State, Ohio State, Rutgers, and Michigan. There's only 1 problem. He may claim all those offers, but it's pretty hard to believe that so little teams really seemed to be showing interest (uh, Maryland and Pitt and that is it) when his talent is pretty dang impressive. Notre Dame wankers have already made it known that they were worried about Clemmings committing to them because his grades are an issue and he would not get accepted. Michigan has backed off. And that PSU offer? Not so fast, my friend. That offer was never confirmed by the staff in writing, and it was never confirmed by BWI. Think this is all baloney? Clemmings has transferred high schools, and from what is being said, it ain't because the football team is better.

Isn't it funny how here is yet another example of Pitt being not only the last available option, but also a haven for kids who refuse to work hard in the classroom. Pitt's athletic admissions are a complete joke. It's pretty sad when you realize your football program is slipping so you "figure out ways" to get kids admitted and you still can't win games against Bowling Green and Ohio. Pitt would be a middle of the pack football program in the MAC. Their academics fit right in there in the middle of the MAC, too.
