LIfe without McCort
LIfe without McCort
I'm curios as to what you folks think the area football landscape would be like if McCort never exsisted. This has nothing to to with privates vs publics or McCort "recruiting". Just put the kids back in their home districts to play football.
1) What impact would that have currently? Which teams would be tops in the area? Where would K. Salem be coaching? Would K. Salem be coaching? Would any teams gain enough to make it deep into the state playoffs?
2) How about historically? Would any school become a perennial powerhouse? How may have this impacted conferences?
Please don't read anything into this. Just a hypothetical curiosity.

Forest Hills would have both Lewis' that would hurt to have either one of those 2 on their teams
Johnstown lost on the Hawkins' Wadley's Cruz's Wayne Jones Joe Arcurio Sheridan's Spangler Reynolds Harteis
Westy could have had the Seidel's Schrey's Lowry DeFrances's Barbin's Regula Varga Hockyco
Windber could have had all the Domonkos's and Rugg's
And the list obviously extends past the past ten years.
I would say all those schools could have benefitted a tad bit

Johnstown Vo-Tech would be a top team in AAAA every year.
Re: LIfe without McCort
I'm not sure which Spangler you mean....Matt Spangler would have been at Johnstown b/c he lived in Roxbury, Garrett Spangler would have been at Westmont.Crimson09Crazy wrote:Forest Hills would have both Lewis' that would hurt to have either one of those 2 on their teams

Greg Harteis would have been at Westmont because he lived in Westmont in high school.
Matt, Kevin, Mike Sheridan.... would have been at J-town living in Roxbury. Joe and Jim Sheridan would have been at Westmont

Re: LIfe without McCort
I guess that Johnstown Christian would become a perennial power without McCort.

Re: LIfe without McCort
On the baseball field I've seen a double steal, but, until now, never saw a double still in one sentence.
