ESPN bottom line was saying big FSU supporters and boosters want Bowden out and Fisher in. Interesting they want a legacy removed. Looks like JoePa can retire with the record.

I'm all for Joe retiring (or dying) with the record, and I think he will eventually end up with 400+ wins, but I STRONGLY disagree with how the Chairman of the FSU Board of Trustees has handled this situation. There have been rumors that both Auburn and WVU have approached Jimbo Fisher, and I understand all of that, but for a member of a Board of Trustees to speak publicly on an issue like this is incredibly unprecedented. This is a matter that should be left to the FSU President, AD, and Bowden, all behind closed doors. Give the man some amount of respect that he deserves.

The bottom line is that Florida State University is a better place for Bobby Bowden having been there. I think this whole matter should be handled in a way that pays respect to that fact.

From what I understand, it HAS been going on behind closed doors for years, and he wont leave. What else can they do besides make it public they want him out? Wasn't 2008 supposed to be his last year?

At least he looks like he still does some amount of coaching while he is on the sidelines. However, I think his time is up. Florida State hasn't been a legitimate National Title contender for a few too many years for their liking.

At least Bowden knows how to discipline his players. Not based on whether or not someone gets hurt.

We know Bobby has underachieved for yrs @ FSU & Joepa has the Hyman Roth complex (doesn't think he's ever going to die & will coach till he's 129) but WTF will happen to the Grand Race if they boot Bobby B.??

And another thing, at least Bowden knows how to score points in a bowl game. Since taking the helm at FSU he has never been shut out.

That's amazing, not even Paterno can claim that!
Bowden staying put at FSU is bad news for Penn State. It just means both coaches will hang on longer trying to outlast each other.
