BCS championship game thoughts

1. I feel less good about Alabama as a champion than I have ever felt. They barely beat a team who had to insert a true freshman QB on their first drive.

2. If Colt McCoy had played, I think Texas wins that game. Alabama's great defense did not stop McCoy on the first drive. They also struggled to stop Gilbert once he got confortable. I even think if McCoy had been hurt a month ago and Gilbert had a month to prepare, Texas would have won.

3. Boise State would at least have a punchers chance against Alabama.

4. What happened to that "great Texas run defense". They were pathetic against the run and that basically won the game.

5. Greg McElroy is a terrible QB. Once he got into a groove, the Texas true freshman played better than McElroy.

6. I hope OSU plays Alabama in the title game next year because I don't think Alabama wins that game. I'm not sure how Alabama beat Florida. I think OSU could beat Alabama this year.

Like I have been saying... You can't compare Boise State to Alabama or Florida because you have too look at the BOTTOM of the WAC and SEC. You have to look at the whole conference. Who other than Boise is even worth watching for giggles alone? The WAC is very whack.

I agree with some of Deliverance's statements. I also believe Texas wins with McCoy in there, but Gilbert didn't do bad.

Could you imagine the media all over Gilbert's d*** if he would have pulled the comeback? It might have been worse than their love for Tebow.

Alabama averaged 3.2 yards a carry if you take out Richardson's 49 yard run. I don't know if I would call that pathetic. Alabama has a really good offensive line and Texas did not face too many quality running backs. However, I would not call their run defense pathetic last night.

I meant I agree with some of Former Wildcat's statements. My bad.
