PSU Recruiting: Albert Louis-Jean commits to Miami

Unreal.
This kid is a bigtime stud CB from Mass. He has great academics, great size and speed...
...And PSU never offered a written scholarship.
We were interested in him, he was leaning elsewhere, so the staff said the hell with it. Look, the mentality is retarded. It's retarded. You know the kid is a lean to another school so you say "the hell with it"? How many times do these kids commit, decommit, look elsewhere, etc. There's no reason why we did not offer this kid, even if he was a BC lean or a Miami lean or wherever else.
I love PSU, I like that we are "good people" when dealing with recruits, and I hate schools tell a kid who committed "we dont have room anymore" but there's gotta be a happy medium here. I dont think we are sticking our necks out by offering 6 DTs instead of 4 when we only really have room for 2. You take the two with the most interest who commit. Why is this stuff rocket science at Penn State sometimes?
