Did anyone read today's mirror as Coach Wannstedt and Coach Joe PA had a meeting with some local representatives from PA football coaches association regarding high school spring football practices.

Coach Paterno was asked about Penn St and Pitt renewing rivalary and he just sat there and Coach Wannstedt was the one who spoke up that they were just there to talk about HS football. I realize there is a thread that is 32 some pages long regarding this issue but why is Paterno so stubborn and bull headed? I am not the smartest guy in the world but almost every other Div 1 state universities play each other throughout the United States except for ONE. And everyone else wants it back except ONE person. I am sorry I posted this here instead of Penn St and Pitt thread but I just don't get it WHY this man doesn't want this game back. He is a minority in this but he has the only opinion that counts I guess.

I'd love to have that game back. It would add a quality OOC opponent(for now) to each schedule.

I don't know what his hold up is on getting the rivalry renewed, but if Pitt joins the Big 10, it could be forced back into existence.

I would also love to have Pitt back on the schedule. However, if they are not put in the same conference, it might never happen. I would imagine if conferences expand that it will mean 10 conference games and 2 out of conference. That being said, these two teams not playing is the best thing that can happen for Pitt fans. They can remember their 12-0 win and forget how outmatched they were winning 6 out of 31 games prior to that.

Nah, I think if they go to 14, you will see 6 division games, 2-3 inter-division that rotate, and 3-4 nobodies.

I'd love to play Pitt just for the fact it would shut all of you Pitt fans up. Regardless, I'm sure you'll find a reason to why you lost the game anyway blah blah blah.

Butttt I really don't think Pitt/Penn St. is going to happen anytime in the near future so who cares. I'm not really worried about it and am done talking about Pitt vs. Penn St. until that day does finally come. Until then, its a dead argument and completely pointless. This has all been talked about a million times. If I want to read about this I'll just simply refer back to the Official Pitt vs. Penn St. Argument Thread.
