Chucky is a voluteer asst. coach at his sons' high school this year and has ESPN cameras following him around everywhere, saw several segments so far and evidentally just played their 1st game(coulda been a scrimmage) and got killed. This has ugly written all over it! Anyone have thoughts?

I don't remember any 95 degree days in Florida in early April and I'm pretty sure they aren't allowed playing other schools in that period. The spot I saw 2day was against another school.

Didn't they try this at Montour with Mike Ditka? It's not that the coach doesn't translate (although from what I've heard that may have been the case at Montour)-- it's that the 24/7 TV cameras don't translate to high school football.

We had a similar situation in the 4 dark years of our program in the early 90's without the hoopla. The schoolboard hired former NFL player Tim Stone...we went 1-9 and weren't really as good as the record. Problem is in most cases, these guys knowledge and vocabulary is far too advanced for 99% of high school atheletes and in alot of cases other high school coaches. The cameras just add chaos and pressure.Good recipe for bad times.
