Why was the windber lettermen club getting 50,000 dollars over 8 years on the sports front page today? Is that good? Seems a little low. But regardless Thats sad if that is front page news. Don't other schools do the same?

How about McCort's Wellness Center? It made the front page at least a half a dozen times over the last year or so.

just like The Forest Hills fieldhouse and the new Johnstown school and the new Richland school got the exact same coverage. That is actually news. They have built something. It is a new addition to a school. Whats the probleem in that? Especially since your beloved Rangers have a near identical building, and it got the same news coverage.
A Booster club that raises $50 grand in 8 years is boring. Every school has some sort of fundraising program.

Show me where FH got the same coverage as McCort concerning their fieldhouse. That is a joke. I remember walking down to get the Sunday paper one morning and the TOP headline on the front page was something like "McCort gets million dollar donation for fieldhouse"!!!! And then came all the other articles on the front page about it. There was the fundraiser involving Paterno. There was the article about BM STARTING the project. Then there was the groundbreaking. Then there was a report about it's progress when it was half way done. Then there was the finish. Then there was the storm damage. Then there was the convocation. Heck, everytime Pete Duranko walked past it, it made the paper. Sure FH and Richland got a mention or two, but not on the front page. And the funny thing is, what does the Bach Wellness Center bring to the community? Can people in that section of Johnstown use the facilities???? At least FH's fieldhouse is open to the community. Again, saying the FH got the same coverage is a real joke.

Well I don't read the trib unless it's the sports or football section, so I wasn't aware of the Bachs celeb status. But it is open to mccort alums I believe, with a membership.

I noticed that there is a Bach on the boy's soccer team. If he's related to the doctor, do you think he has to pay tuition????

FH's facility being opened to the public should not be considered the norm. You'd be hard pressed to find a place for exercise like that for free anywhere else. Many people spend hundreds of dollars a MONTH on gym memberships. Having a place for free exercise really makes a difference for the FH community and more schools should consider it.

I never knew that the FH field house was open to the public. I have been paying gym membership for way to long. I need to move closer to Sidman so I can get my lift on for free there.

I think you should wear your McCort gear into the facility as well!
