FH, Tyrone ... How far? D6

With playoffs around the corner and some good competition coming out of D6 AA, how does everyone see it turning out? I like my Rangers' chances, but Tyrone is still looking pretty respectful. Your thoughts?

FH is slightly favored over Tyrone IMO. Tyrone should be happy about that, because coming in as the favorites hasn't been a good thing for them (2007,08,09). They were underdogs last year and almost stole the game.
Central would have to be my darkhorse team.
Any of these teams are capable of beating the D10 winner. D10 is nothing special, and with the exception of the Burns brothers they are pretty identical to D6 and the good teams beat up on a lot of bad teams. D7 is obviouslly another story. To beat the WPIAL champ, one of these teams will have to control the clock and T.O.P. The speed difference will be a factor, but it's by no means a long shot for one of our area teams to make the state game. Not sure who D6 plays first (D7 or D10).
Anyway, goodluck to all area teams. I'm pulling for my Rangers, but if they drop one I'll be rooting for whoever makes it from D6. It's time to get D6 it's second state football title

D6 plays d10 first, and it will be either Sharon or Grove City, probably Grove City.

EA,
Grove City is AAA this cycle. I think you meant General McLane. Sharon and General McLane are both 7-1 and look like the front runners in D10.

don't rule out central spoiling someones party come playoff time. but i think d6 winner knocks off d10 winner and then has their eyes set on the wpial champ in the western final, especially if it all goes according to plan and tyrone or fh comes out d6 aa.

I look for Tyrone to make a deep playoff run this season

I keep forgetting that.. you're right. I just would love to see a rematch after '04.

I like D6 chances against the D10 champ., but the WPIAL game might be the "state champ" game in itself. GCC, Aliquippa, and South Fayette are all undefeated so far, and S. LaSalle lost a close one to South Fayette. Either way, it should be an exciting playoff run for all teams in D6.

Can't blame you. I remember all the talk of Stull and the high powered Rebel offense in the first round. Tyrone getting blown out, yada yada yada.
South Fayette and Brumaugh impressed me, but not as much as DJ Lenehan out of Wilson the year they played Jeanette (2007 I believe?). GCC had a scare this past Friday with East Allegheny. I don't know what they are like without David Miller and Trent Hurley, but I doubt they can be as good as last year. Aliquippa is Aliquippa, but I don't think there is a game changer like Revis or Baldwin. Time will tell.
