Not so fast, looks like Graham is asking Tulsa if they will match Pitt's offer! LOL

The update as of right now, 15:36 EST, is that Graham is officially the new Pitt coach. I will post again in 9 minutes w/ a list of the 26 new candidates. GA's at Wagner are reportedly "lukewarm" to taking the job.

My gut feeling all along is Graham is a money grabbing weasel? He is a supposed Defensive guru & I believe Tulsa was like 107th in the nation defensively this yr....Then from the Pitt board; a Tulsa fan offers this:

If Graham would've stayed, I'd have been fine with that, but there was never any worry around here that our program would suffer if he left. He's just not a well liked guy and Tulsa was going to let the door hit him on his way out. He was welcome to stay, but TU wasn't going to get into a bidding war for him.

All I know, is that just three months ago, every Tulsa fan I know, including myself, were trying to figure out a way to get rid of the guy after we gave up 800 yards and 65 points to Oklahoma State. That was Tulsa's 7th loss in 9 games and quite honestly, had it not been for a terrible coaching decision by Brian Kelly in the ND game, Tulsa may have well suffered it's second straight losing season (trust me, when it goes bad under TG, it goes bad) and Tulsa would have been seriously looking at firing him. I'm pretty shocked that your guy Pederson was this high on him, but to each his own.

Anyway, good luck to you guys and hope it works out for you!

He has a career record of 43-23 at the likes of Rice and Tulsa. Gus Malzahn, whom is now the Offensive Coordinator at Auburn, has worked under Graham. I'm not going to say Graham is a homerun hire, but he's definitely better than the first hire Pitt made. Let's be real; coaches weren't exactly knocking the door down to get the keys to Pitt's program. Graham is probably as good as they could get.

Graham has 6 kids. Sounds like a guy who won't take NO for an answer.
