Someone please explain this to me:
Thursday, Feb. 24:
Central Cambria High School
Girls A: 104 Glendale vs. Conemaugh Valley 6:00
Girls A: 106 Blacklick Valley vs. Homer Center 7:30
Friday, Feb. 25:
Bishop Carroll High School
Boys A: 506 Conemaugh Valley vs. Glendale 6:00
Boys A: 507 Blacklick Valley vs. Northern Cambria 7:30
Both Conemaugh Valley and Glendale teams are PLAYING EACH OTHER and they put them on separate nights. Then throw in that both Blacklick teams could've played together. ARE YOU KIDDING ME, D6?

They try to spread it out so that if you played on Monday in the first round you will play Thursday and if you played Tuesday you play again Friday. They could have played them all Friday since the girls teams had byes and the boys teams played last night, but since there weren't many games on Monday due to the snow, they needed to play the teams with byes on Thursday so that the schedule is even between both nights and so that there is enough sites.

Could it be to sell more tickets? (two nights of admission for the fans of these teams).
Noooo....

I've seen Westmont vs. Bishop McCort games held in Hollidaysburg, They are poor at scheduling.

The only thing I can come up with here (and it's a stretch) is that D6 didn't want to give CV nor Blacklick a "home court" atmosphere. They didn't want to give Blacklick a gym with both teams and not CV, so they chose neither.
Not agreeing with what they did, but trying to guess why they did it...

There wouldn't be a "home court" advantage for CV b/c BOTH of their teams are playing Glendale.
As for the rest of the schedule......sorry, what I posted is all that I have.

Not to mention Homer Center Boys are in the mix. Both of their teams are playing on opposite nights as well.
It appears D6 waited to see the outcome of the first round games and "spread the wealth" by splitting up all teams to play seperate nights. It would have made sense to play a tripleheader one or two of the nights so that a school's boys and girls could play at the same venue. I guess it didn't make enough "cents".
Another gripe: Most teams that didn't have to play a play-in game waited until today to learn that they play tomorrow. In some cases teams knew who they where playing for a week but didn't know when or where..........oh well, it is what it is.......good luck to all.
