I can't believe nobody has commented on Dave Baker getting the job at Central....thoughts?....I for one am very wary. Coach Baker has always done more with less at w-burg..ie 4 section titles at the smallest school to sponsor football...Give him some numbers and the young talent coming up... look out for the Dragons. Hey,.. 2nd best in the MAC the next few years will be impressive,...lol just bustin a few choice stones.

Williamsburg was horrible 2 years ago, I mean downright horrible! I don't know what they did last year, but I doubt anything good. I have my doubts about this coach if he was their with those teams the last 2 years! They weren't disiplined and were always out of position!

I think defensively he was one of the best coordinators in the area. Offensively, it maybe very interesting what he does. I was surprised that he wanted to get back into being a head coach.

Baker woulda won 6-8 (per yr)games the last 4 years with what w-burg had and their schedule....a fact!

I think Coach Baker will do a great job at Central and I wish him the best luck, but that statement is most definitely not a fact. John Gruden couldn't have won 6-8 games per year for that bunch. They had a few decent athletes and a couple tough kids, but 4-5 wins would have been the absolute ceiling for them. Numbers kill.

maybe a stretch for a class or 2 but there are a couple years there that they had 6-8 bonifide ballplayers that woulda played for anyone in the area, and won 1 game... as seniors....I remember several teams like that Baker had that had a "0" in the loss column. I'm not gonna get into which years or names because I'm not out to disparage past coaches just pointing out the obvious to me.

They did have some decent athletes in those two years I saw them and some size. So maybe a good coach would have won 4-6 with those teams because they did have some hitters and size along with a few athletes, but they were coached horrible!

Coach Dave Baker in a defensive genius and I'm totally positive that with help from his staff he can form an offense that can produce. I'm confident in his coaching ability to say once he finds the groove he'll be golden.

If Baker has any problems getting off to a good start he should contact DRAGON2001 or whatever his name is. He knows alot of information about things he doesn't know what he is talking about. That would make a good coach as he knows how to talk out both ends of his mouth!!
