Penn State did reach out to Pitt only after Miami wanted out of their 2 contracted games for a home and home. Although this 2 game series is great, it is still a crime that this tradition won't continue on a yearly basis after the 2017 game. Pitt wants to play this every year, Penn State does not. Don't make this "reach out" seem like more than an open date filled by Pitt.

The sad thing is, the kids that will be playing in this rivalry game are in 8-12 grade in high school this fall, and have no concept of what kinda rivalry game it should be. I might add that PSU added 'bama..before Saban when it looked like a "name" and a win, 5 years later they travel to play the defending national champs....point I guess is, wait and see.
