After 8 weeks, this is where we stand.

TM is in if they beat Glendale on the road next week. Not an easy task, but they are good enough to do it.

Now, this playoff picture is CRAZY. The 5 and 6 seeds are virtual locks. 1-4 can go any which way. It is important to remember that Windber, NS, and NBC all have AA wins which allows them to win any tiebreaker with CT. The top 4 can all shuffle around and likely will.

Windber is AT Berlin next week. A win and they are #1. A loss and they have 2 losses, which could drop them as low as #3
NS has CT so someone is going to have 2 losses after this one. NS has an AA win would win a tiebreaker with NBC due to wins by defeated opponents.
CT can jump up the rankings with a win, but they still don't have an AA win, so even if their tiebreaker is head to head, they lose because of the points system.
NBC has a much improved West Branch team on the road. A win, and the Panthers are at least the 3 seed. A loss, and they can go as low as 4 if CT beats NS.

Scenario 1- Windber beats Berlin, NS beats Twp, and NBC beats West Branch. The seeds stay as they are right now.

Scenario 2- Windber beats Berlin, Twp beats NS, and NBC beats West Branch. 1. Windber 2. NBC 3. Twp 4. NS

Scenario 3- Berlin over Windber, NS over Twp, and NBC over West Branch 1. NS 2. NBC 3. Windber 4. CT

Scenario 4- Berlin over Windber, Twp over NS, and NBC over WB 1. NBC 2. CT 3. Windber 4. NS

Scenario 5- Windber over Berlin, NS over Twp, and NB loses 1. Windber 2. NS 3. NB 4. CT

Scenario 6- Windber over Berlin, Twp over NS, and NB loses 1. Windber 2. CT 3. NS 4. NB

Scenario 7- Berlin over Win, NS over Twp, NB loses 1. NS 2. Win 3. NB 4. CT

Scenario 8- Berlin over Win, TWP over NS, NB loses 1. CT 2. Win 3. NS 4. NBC


OK, I already wore myself out and nobody is still probably with me at this point, but as you can see things can change drastically next week.


Any playoff predictions???

Sounds about as murky as the #4 through #8 spots in District 6 A.

Seems like Bellwood, Penns Manor (with a win today), and Juniata Valley should have the top 3 spots on lock down.

After that it's a toss-up amongst Blairsville, Bishop McCort, Moshannon Valley, Marion Center, and Glendale for the next four spots.

Portage has #9 on lock down, and West Branch has #10 on lock down.

The #11 and #12 spots were very up in the air, but Southern Huntingdon has declared they won't enter the playoffs even at 4-5. They would have jumped both teams with a win over Moshannon Valley next week.

There are some big games next week (Moshannon Valley/Southern Huntingdon, Tussey Mt/Glendale, Blairsville/Marion Center) that will go a long way in determining who's in and where they'll be seeded.

with so many possibilities i dont even want to try until next weeks games are played

I have a playoff prediction for when the WPIAL A champ gets the 5A champ...Not sure that you or anyone else wants to hear it.
