Eric i was little dissappointed to see that the 2 local basketball teams who lost get the front page and yet the 2 who move on in c.t and c.v. girls get page 2.

The tribune democrat is located in the johnstown school district and the article on johnstowns win was on page 4!!!

its a shame. but it was the boys from ct and the girls from c.v.. It would be like putting the the wrestler who got silver in AA on front page and the two who won gold on page 2. the winners deserve the front page, its not that often a ct or shade or c.v. can represent their school that well and still be in the playoffs. johnstown was much deserving of a front page beating mars and moving on as well. as i said i was just a little dissappointed with it.

It could have been worse. It could have been a story on a college women's lacrosse match.

First of all congrats to Nick Roberts. Awesome achievement! Now regarding basketball shame on the trib and daily american for lack of coverage for all teams prior to the first round games. For the second round games we should see articles beginning tomorrow for those playing on Tuesday and articles to follow for games on Wednesday. Do a little investigation of the opponents. Recap the season for teams headed into the second round. The sweet sixteen is for the entire state not the western half. Where are you for the remaining teams?

i agree wholeheartedly, todays paper shows corey eisenberg basically doing a play by play recap of the shade and c.v. game while on page 2 just tells us where the teams are playing. would be nice to see half the coverage as the generals got in taking up half the page, at least nick and rizzo got some recognition, we can at least be happy for that. but i agree, do research, how they got to where they are, highlight some of the teams accomplishments this year, not just another recap of a game that was played and covered already.

I remember Knop posting about people possibly helping write articles. Contact him and see if they still need help. These places are short staffed for all the sports we have going on in our area.
