Info: 6'4", 190 and 4.43 40 time
Chavas Rawlins was one of the most heavily recruited players in Pennsylvania this year racking up offers from schools like Nebraska, Tennessee, Pitt, and many more before choosing to become a West Virginia Mountaineer. Rawlins is widely considered to be one of the best dual threat quarterbacks in the nation.

When did you fall in love with the game of football?
Definitely after my sophomore season.
Any pregame rituals?
I go check out my step dad at the graveyard every home game.
Describe the half hour leading up to a game after you've come in from pregame warm-ups.
It is the worst feeling for me!! I think about the most ridiculous things. I'll think of mistakes, what can go wrong, if I have the right coverages memorized, etc... And on top of it all, I just wanna play already. Haha
Tell us about a coach or maybe a teacher who has really had a big impact on you.
One coach/teacher that has a huge impact on me on what he says is definitely Jimmy Stepoli, treats me like his 3rd son. He always looks out for me. He has the biggest impact because I watched him take care of his two sons who had great chances to go Division I for football but it didn't work out for them. I feel like I can be the son coach Jim always wanted to go play college ball.
What makes West Virginia the place for Chavas Rawlins?
The people at West Virginia are great people!! There's no place like it!! The atmosphere, families, coaches, players, it's all great stuff.
As a little guy who was your favorite high school athlete to watch?
Terrance Stepoli. Son of coach Jimmy Stepoli. Best athlete I ever played with.
Who is the best athlete that you have ever competed against?
Guarding Sheldon Jeter (Vanderbilt Guard/Forward) and holding him to 4 points in one half of a basketball game!!
What is the best piece of advice you could give to an up and coming recruit?
Enjoy the process and don't let it stress you out!!!!! It's a great feeling
You sign a contract to fight in the UFC, what is your entrance song?
Ambition - Wale
Favorite snack food?
By far pizza, nothing comes close! Haha
I like to ask this question...you get selected for the Amazing Race...Who are you taking as your partner and why?
Definitely pick my girlfriend (Passion) because she's tough, athletic and very smart. We'd be a tough couple to beat!! Haha
What was the greatest single moment of your high school career?
Caught the game winning touchdown against rival Beth Center my sophomore year to win the section!!!!!
What is something that most people don't know about Chavas Rawlins?
People don't know that I was a highly recruited basketball player before football player.
Hypothetical question- Monessen closes prior to your senior year and you get to pick an area school to play at. Where do you pick and why?
I definitely would go become a Belle Vernon Leopard to play with my cousin Dorian Johnson.
