Defending the Indefensible...THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!!

Post by WPIAL~Titan »

Franco Harris, Matt Millen, Sue/Jay/ScottPa, numerous Paterno apologists, PSU football cultists. ALL are embarassments to the university.

sportsfan1000 gets it. A few on this board simply do not get it.

The ink isn't even dry on the NCAA sanctions and consent decree and PSU is still making football the #1 priority. Most are just worried about the next football game against OhioU, 108k in the stands, whiteouts, tailgates, throwing more $$$ at the problems, more hero worship, and planning a pseudo-bowl trip to Hawaii, all so that the "healing" of the fan base can begin.

What about the 14 years of child sex assaults on the university's dime at bowl games, in university facilities, steps away from the cult icon's office, with PSU football being used as the bait for a monster to prey on victims? All with God/Paterno, Spanier, Curley, and Shultz in on the coverup?

Children were raped, but the priority is that football goes on, but not without the whining cultists claiming how unfair and unjust the sanctions are, calling for resignations from Erickson/BOTs, etc..

To the cult, in the words of their false God Paterno, "It's all a media witch hunt!" (Paterno's quote from the OTL investigation several years ago), just simply a consipracy to bring down the white veil of the "pristine" PSU football program.

The cult has shown me that these sanctions will do nothing to change the culture there. This cult needed a 4 year death penalty with NO FOOTBALL...Erickson knew it could be coming and he practically tripped over himself as he sprinted to the table to sign off on the consent decree. Erickson, the new ringmaster of the cult circus, knew that the SHOW MUST GO ON!!!

After all, FOOTBALL AND MAKING $$$ THROUGH FOOTBALL THE #1 PRIORITY AT PSU, everything else, including the safety of young children, is secondary. The deal cut with the NCAA and the cultists reactions are proof positive of that.

Let the parties begin! Be there September 1, 2012 for the OhioU game! Life will be good, and normal as if nothing has happened.

Please Discuss.

Yep because what 4 men did is representative on an entire university. What a small world you live in. Penn State could cancel 4 seasons of football, show up Saturday at 1 every week and pray for 4 hours for the victims, and you would say they are saying the wrong prayers. You know why? Because you are an obsessed lunatic.

There is no way PSU would cancel one season or pray for the victims for 10 mins on a Saturday, they can't even say they're sorry.

Who specifically are you looking to say they are sorry? Because I have seen countless fans and the university do so. Please tell me what specific person you are looking for to apologize, because I will find about 1000 quotes from people saying otherwise.

I guess it wasnt when countless fans who had nothing to do with it apologized. I guess it wasn't when the university has released numerous statements. I guess it wasn't when last years bowl game was donated to abuse.

You blanket statement looks ridiculous and uneducated.

Sorry, I only have a 12th grade education. And that was over 30 years ago. So if my statements drag you down a level I apologize.

As far as praying every Saturday, not sure you would fill the stadium. I will admit you are one of few fans that actually see this for what it is. But most are not apologetic, and feel the penalties are to harsh. If you feel my posts are uneducated apparently your not reading many PSU fans posts outside of this board.

Kirk, if PSU self-imposed a 4 year death penalty like I felt they should have, I will eat my words. Until then, the show must go on, and football remains the A#1 TOP priority.

LOL @ obsessed lunatic statement. Would you like me to post a few dozen pictures of people praying on Paterno's lawn, at his now defnuct statue, etc?

Kirk, those 4 men created the culture of silence and secrey and false PR. People like you bought it AND ARE STILL BUYING IT...hook, line, and sinker.

Even Paterno said he wished he would have done things differently.

To be perfectly honest w/ you, I would rather see those kids get a huge settlement than have some half-@$$ apology from people who were not even close to being involved.
