PIAA/Philly Hoops

Did anyone else happen to notice that according to the most recent information on the PIAA website that none of the Philly schools have elected to play up in classification? According to the site, 1/16 was the deadline to declare to play up.
This puts schools like Franklin Learning Center and Lamberton in AA. I don't profess to be extremely knowledgable on Philly league hoops, but I know these are a pair of the stronger teams on a yearly basis. If these schools are in "AA" and dominate the way they should, it will pit a damper on this merger in a big hurry.
I can just imagine a first round interdistrict game between Franklin Learning Center and Fairfield(or the likes of a DV rep if they were in the west), OUCH!!
It will be interesting to see how much the eastern private schools(ie Trinity, ReadingCC, Bishop Hannon, Allentown CC) who have dominated the eastern brackets for years will complain when they have to face these teams in the state tourney
