Observations from the Richland / Forest Hills scrimmage. Neither team scored on their first procession, both scored on their second. Total, Richland scored four times, Forest Hills twice. Some of these were by 2nd teams by both schools. Solarczyk didn't carry the ball alot, but looked good when he did. Pecora seemed to get alot of the snaps, with Shaffer playing receiver ??
Richland had alot of drop passes, they will have to clean this up for the regular season.
Forest Hill - Shope did not have a lot of passes thrown to him. I do not know names but, #81 seen a lot of balls thrown his way and looked good. #87 is a small size kid but, played tough and wasn' t afraid to throw his body around! Qb under threw several passes. The OL definitety needs to gel.
Good scrimmage on a beautiful night in sidman.

Usually agree with alot that ramfan has to say, but what scrimmage was he watching last night? First of all, does anybody really care about the jv portion of any scrimmage? No. Unless you have a son or boyfriend playing. Both varsities started out with TWO 10-play offensive series'. Both scored on their second try. Then AFTER the jv's played, the varsities played with the chains. Each team had 3 chances to move the chains and score. Richland scored once, FH scored twice. Final score, FH varsity 3, Richland varsity 2. FH had NO turnovers, Richland had 3. Richland did not look as good as I expected. Maybe they just had a bad night. I was not sure what to expect from FH. They did O.K.

Shope is # 5. He wasn't even suited up. Were you maybe watching #6? Austin Danel, a Jr. Moldy is right on the scoring. #81 is Doltyn Snedden, a good one to watch. #87 is Dennis Richardson. He made some mistakes, but caught a great slant across the middle for about 15-16 yds. Again, the line play will determine the success of the Rangers this year. Don't remember the Rams #'s, but they had a couple of burners we couldn't bring down once they got the corners. The tall Qb looked decent. I'll still predict the Rams finish #2 in the LHAC behind PC, at this point.

Barber Shop gossip told me a major Forest Hills player is out for the season, any truth to that?

You know I've been in the Harmonie a fair amount, never heard any music. I'm, starting to wonder its true meaning....

Well, Shope was only out for a "meaningless" pre-season scrimmage, and will be suited up this Fri. Pinkas got a hip pointer during the scrimmage, but that certainly isn't season-ending either. Is the water on Osborne St. polluted, ;) don't know where the "rumor" came from.

Shope was out and will be back this week. Starting center Hayden Fyock was also held out because of past concussions, he will also be back this week for the opener against Westmont. Dusty Ohler missed the scrimmage due to illness. I have yet to hear if he will be back for this week.
