Week 11
Last week 6-3 and 46-8 ytd. I had the Heritage going 3-6 last week. They went 6-3 with nice upsets by Northern Cambria, Purchase Line and Saltsburg. Congradulations to the Colts, Red Dragons and Trojans.
Bald Eagle (6-4) 8
Ligonier Valley (9-1) 34
Big break for the Rams. Since LV beat all three Heritage teams that had upset wins, they got an extra 30 pts. and beat out Central by 20 pts. for the second seed. Also, the Rams have Stuart Urch back with his now 19 sacks.
Northern Cambria (7-3) 20
Portage (9-1) 21
Great match-up between the #7 and #2 seeds. Northern Cambria's QB Jeff Hogan is 63-119-9 1027 yd with 14 TD's and a 149 rating. He leads the Heritage in TD's, is second in yards and third in rating. Also, second in ints.
Bishop McCort (7-3) 21
Penns Manor (9-1) 27
Super match-up with two of the top three teams in Dist. 6A, Bellwood being the other. Besides Danny Ferens (2089 total yd and 36 TD's) the Comets play excellent defense. First in the Heritage in passing (58 yd/g) and rushing (76 yd/g). BM passing game may be the best the Comets have faced this year. Very hard to beat the Comets at home.
