The New Orleans.... Pelicans? Thoughts?

I was suggested by a user here to post this....
So based on http://nba.si.com/2013/01/24/new-orlean ... &eref=sihp, I took it upon myself to explore other state nicknames & used them in application to NBA team names. I attempted to utilize cities who currently do not have an NBA team, although I may have missed one. Curious as to what others think of the new name for the Hornets.
Dumb:
Augusta Pine Trees
Baltimore Old Lines (seriously, why doesn't Baltimore have an NBA team?)
Birmingham Yellowhammers
Bismark Peace Gardens (as a play...er's new name, maybe, but as a team name, NOPE)
Boise Gems (Gems no, Jems, maybe)
Boulder Centennials (Boulder 100's, maybe. their mascot can be a pack of Marlboro 100's)
Cheyenne Equalities (for all men yes, for a team name, no)
Columbia Palmettoes (the city, not the country)
Dover Firsts (get it, because they were the 1st state? although, delaware used to be part of PA...)
Hartford Constitutions (great for the pursuit of life, liberty & happiness (or happyness if you're so inclined) but not for a team name)
Helena Treasures (maybe pile nominee)
Honolulu Alohas (but who wouldn't want to play there?)
Jackson Magnolias (yikes)
Kansas City Show Me's (ok, this almost made the maybe pile too)
Lansing Great Lakes
Louisville Bluegrasses
Mesa Grand Canyons
Montpelier Green Mountains
New Orleans Pelicans (sigh)
Ogden Beehives
Olympia Evergreens
Pierre Mount Rushmores (cool monument, dumb team name)
Pittsburgh Keystones
Providence Oceans
Richmond Old Dominions
San Diego Goldens (Goldenmembers, or Goldmembers for short? maybe)
Santa Fe Land of Enchantments (insert your own joke here)
Savannah Peaches (double yikes)
Springfield Bays
Springfield Prairies
Tampa Sunshines (now, the Tampa Tropics, yes please)
Topeka Sunflowers
Trenton Gardens
Good:
Anchorage Last Frontiers (Alaska State Troopers fans unite!)
Austin Lone Stars
Buffalo Empires (badass)
Cheyenne Cowboys
Cincinnati Buckeyes
Fort Wayne Hoosiers
Iowa City Hawkeyes
Las Vegas Silvers
Lincoln Cornhuskers (let's be honest, it would work there)
Madison Badgers (there too)
Morgantown Mountains (i mean, what else is there to do in WV?)
Portland Beavers (ha, he said "beaver")
Raleigh Tar Heels (see Lincoln reference)
Tennessee Volunteers (ok, the point's been made)
Tulsa Sooners
Maybe:
Concord Granites
Little Rock Naturals
St. Paul North Stars
