Always the big game of week 1. It is August. Might as well start the thread now!

Can anyone say TALENT at the skill positions. The top 2 Altoona Mirror Coverage Area Rushers will face off week 1. Bellwood returns most players back from last year minus some key senior leaders. Tyrone Returns THE RB in the area and a QB that showed signs of almost breaking out. Tyrone's biggest question mark will be their offensive and defensive lines. They only return 1 starter and lack a lot of experience upfront. That being said if they can put together any resembalance of a line with the plethera of young guys they have then look out cause Tyrone will be reloaded like always.

That being said I give the nod to Bellwood being slight favorite on paper just because of Tyrone's imexperience in the trenches.

Been sniffing around the Bellwood camp. Playing with a inexperienced QB and the feature player who
was in the Altoona Mirror glossy magazine is gone. My sources tell me a lot of work is needed.

Where did the "feature player" go? Transfer to BG?

Really? No Casey Gray?... (And yes I had to pull out my copy of The Blitz to look and see who the cover athlete was)

On a side note I was planning on heading to the BA vs Central Scrimmage to check out the talent. Any ideas when and where it is? I know it's Saturday but AM, PM, Where is it located? etc...

I think he means Ethan Hunter isn't playing...the lineman they did the feature story on.

Checking the Altoona Mirror information B-A is at Central Saturday 10 am. (Roaring Spring).

Central, Tyrone, Richland ... Top 3 in D-6 AA.
Looks like with the returners Richland will be the team to beat.

B-A, Hunter. Yes thats the player that is gone.

I also heard the Werthing kid who is the brother of Seth Werthings (B-A QB from last year) quit because they were giving the Soph. Burch reps at QB at practice. So if the rumor is true B-A is without their starting QB and best lineman

Getting reports from Bellwood that the Worthing who was the projected QB just never bothered to
show up. This news is coming from a group of guys who work with me. Also with the Hunter boy
it was reported that 5 or 6 more projected returnees never came back. Reasons were unknown.
Numbers are down this year. If all of this is true the starting qb will be a sophomore.
