Mountain League Preview wk 3

Bellefonte @ Philipsburg- Osceola - Well both teams enter week 3 searching for that 1st win. Philipsburg probably can't wait to get back on the field. After a tough loss to Line Mountain in its opener, the Mounties took a step back with a disappointing showing against its rival BEA last week. The Red Raiders meanwhile are trying to get their feet on solid ground after 2 straight blowout losses. The good news is someone's getting a "W". And it's the Mounties.. 37-7
Tyrone @ Huntingdon - Tyrone looks to get back in the win column after falling to Central for the 2nd straight year and pretty much handled physically by the bigger more experienced Dragons. Huntingdon comes in fresh off a rejuvinating 47-0 trouncing of Bellefonte. The 'Cats have something to prove after last years' 71-6 destruction. While the 'Cats will be inspired and are getting better, Tyrone will bring them back to reality a bit. Eagles 46 Cats 16
BEA @ Penns Valley - This has the makings of a dandy, to quote Keith Jackson. Both teams have playoff aspirations, BEA has 2 blowout wins over P-O and Bellefonte, While the 1-1 Rams have to at least take a little confidence in the fact that they put up a good fight on the road, falling 37-15 to powerhouse Clearfield. This one could go either way, I like the Eagles 20-17.
Game of the Year!!! Clearfield @ Central
If you are headed to the Cove for this one, leave early and take a shoehorn and some vaseline. They should be squeezing them into the place for this battle of unbeatens. Where to begin? Tyrone was reminded last week that the Dragons aren't just the Cunningham and Moore show. These Dragons have 20+ seniors, they have size, and they are above average at just about every position. Good Luck finding a chink in the armor. The Bison however, may not be so in awe as the rest. They return a 1200 yd rusher , 4 standout 2 way bohemoths up front, and all everything Christian Lezzer at QB. Lezzer will play LB at Boston College next fall. This could go down to the wire.
