West Pac Week 3
Posted: September 10th, 2013, 9:11 am
Things are starting to become more clear after week two in the West Pac
Windber Vs. Brentwood I believe this is scheduled from what I am hearing however, I do not know where it is to be played.
No matter, I think Windber is better than last weeks results. Winning 21-0 and outgained your opponent in yardage 2 1/2 to 1, then collapse
and lose by a TD. The problems they are having with mental lapse can be fixed and I think Windber regroups and beats Brentwood
by a couple scores.
Windber 35-21
Portage @ Shade
Portage will come out breathing fire after last weeks beating from the mountain men. Shade has been playing tough ball and beat CT by a couple TD's.
I wonder how bad last weeks game will effect Portage (with the playoffs) being that they lose Rockwood on their schedule. Portage will rebound as they
always do and I look for them to beat a scrappy Shade team by 3 TD's. Hat's off to Shade they are playing tough but getting the Mustangs on the rebound
is not good for anyone.
Portage 42-21
Meyersdale @ CT
Meyersdale should win this one going away in the second half. CT will play them close in the first half, then it will get away from them. This seems
to be a trend for the Indians. Where as, you have Meyersdale closing a 21 point gap and pulling out a big win. Two programs going in opposite directions.
I thought in the pre-season Meyersdale would be a team to watch and they have answered the bell.
Meyersdale 35-7
North Star @ CV
North Star got it rolling last week at Ferndale and had a large lead in the first half and yanked their starters. North Star will make some noise before it is
all said and done. CV is rebuilding but, they are a few years away. I look for this to be similar to the game vs. Ferndale where JV will see quite a bit of
action.
North Star 36-6
Blacklick Valley @ Purchase Line
Blacklick scored 3 points in week one and had a bye week last week(due to Rockwood dropping Program) Hopefully, the bye week let them get back to
the basics and they can find the End zone this week. I however, think they will struggle this year and Purchase Line will be a bit much for them to handle.
Purchase Line 28-7
Berlin @ Ferndale
I am not to sure any team in the West Pac can stop Berlins tailback, and if so it will not be the yellow jackets. Ferndale is in for another long Saturday afternoon.
I expect Berlins JV team will see the entire second half of the game with a running clock.
Berlin 42-7
Just My Opinions: Feel free to add to them and correct any errors that you may see.
