District Six AA

1. Richland. 8-0. Next Game: @ Central Cambria – Richland actually started slow against Penn Cambria, but got things rolling for a 44-0 win. The Rams are two wins away from back to back undefeated regular seasons. Central Cambria is a difficult place to play, and the Red Devils have a nice team. This will be a very big test for Richland, especially in wet conditions on a grass field. Expect to see a heavy workload for Tanner Solarczyk.

2. Central. 6-2. Next Game: Huntingdon – Central rolled over Bellefonte to a 63-7 win last week to improve to 6-2. The Dragons have been putting up points in a big way this year, and they should be able to continue that against Huntingdon on Friday.

3. Tyrone. 6-2. Next Game: Penns Valley – Tyrone dispatched AAAA Central Mountain rather easily last week with a 48-21 decision. The Golden Eagles have improved each and every week, and they can be a real force to be reckoned with in the playoffs. Tyrone needs to ready to play against Penns Valley this week, as the Rams need a win to help their playoff standing.

4. Mt. Union. 7-1. Next Game: Tussey Mountain – The Trojans were able to easily defeat West Branch last weekend to run their record to 7-1, but things should be much more difficult this week. Tussey Mountain is a strong single A team, and it should be a dog fight. Mt. Union needs to use their depth and size, and show they are for real.

5. Central Cambria. 5-3. Next Game: Richland – Even with two consecutive losses, and the best team in the area coming to town, I still value this team higher than Ligonier at the moment. This team can make noise in the playoffs, and even with a difficult game against Richland on Friday, the Red Devils have a chance to bounce back against a down McCort team in two weeks.

District Six A

1. Bellwood-Antis. 7-1. Next Game: @ Glendale – The high powered Blue Devil offense kept it rolling again against Northern Bedford. They have big play potential, and Casey Gray can strike at any time. They should roll to 8-1 Friday, before a week 10 showdown with AA Richland next Friday.

2. Homer Center. 8-0. Next Game: Penns Manor - Homer Center continued its dominance over the Heritage Conference with a convincing win over league power, Ligonier. The Wildcats have a tremendous opportunity on Friday with a winner take all, 8-0 showdown with Penns Manor. Of course, you can see that game LIVE right here on the D6SN.

3. Penns Manor. 8-0. Next Game: @ Homer Center – The Comets may have been looking ahead, as they did not beat Purchase Line by a large margin last week. Still, the Comets have been great all year long, and the opportunity for them is huge on Friday. They have defied some odds this season, and they would love nothing more to finish the Heritage at a perfect 9-0.

4. Bishop Guilfoyle. 6-2. Next Game: Bishop McCort – Guilfoyle rolled to an easy win at Westmont on Saturday to run their winning streak to 6. They will welcome Bishop McCort to town this weekend as the Marauders will look for their first win over the Crushers since BG entered the LHAC back in 2007.

5. Portage. 6-1. Next Game: @ Blairsville - Portage was able to handle Conemaugh Township last week by a score of 49-13. The Mustangs will travel to Blairsville for a nonconference showdown.

D 5-6-8-9 AAA Sub Region

1. Clearfield. 8-0. Next Game: @ Phillipsburg-Osceola – Clearfield has been impressive all season long, and they continued that with a 24 point victory over Bald Eagle. The Bison need one more win to finish the regular season with a perfect 9-0 mark.

2. Somerset. 7-1. Next Game: @ Cambria Heights – Somerset was able to defeat Forest Hills, who has been a thorn in their side for many years. The Golden Eagles will look for win #8 against Cambria Heights on Friday.

3. University Prep. 7-0. Next Game: Perry – Prep defeated Perry last week, and will meet them again in the City League semifinals this weekend.
