HERITAGE WEEK 9
Posted: October 23rd, 2013, 2:45 pm
Last week 5-0 and 38-2 ytd.
United (0-8) 14
Marion Center (1-7) 24
The Stingers continue to lose the turnover battle with 2 vs 0 for Shade in last weeks 13-6 loss. This maybe the Lions last change for a win this year with B Guilfoyle (God be mercyful) next week. M C will also play a very strong team in Karns City next week.
Saltsburg (1-7) 16
Purchase Line (3-5) 31
Losing 28-15 to P M last week while being out gained by less than 100 yd, 262 to 166, shows that the Red Dragons are much improved from week one when they lose 35 to 0 at L ig V. If not here, the Trojans should get their second win next week at Blacklick Valley.
Northern Cambria (4-4) 20
Ligonier Valley (6-2) 30
Big game for both teams. The Rams need to stop the bleeding after two losses. A win here and at Cambria Heights could, with some luck, get the Colts into the playoffs.
Portage (6-1) 30
Blairsville (5-3) 20
Since a second week loss to Berlin the Mustangs have won 5 straight with only Meyerdale staying within 2 TD's, 43-28. The Bobcats are back on track with back to back victories.
Game of the Year in the Heritage
Penns Manor (8-0) 20
Homer-Center (8-0) 27
WOW, it was great to watch and hear L V at H-C last week on D6SN, thanks. At last, the game for the league title. Both teams have strong lines and runners. The difference maybe in the QB's. The Wildcats seem to have the edge in passing with A Berezansky 33-49-1-491 and 6 TD's vs the Comets L Kowalski 21-49-1-350 and 2 TD's
