Who do you think is going to come out on top? Especially based on the conferences each team is in.

You should've put a ? Behind your 2nd sentence too.
My answer would've been Central and no. That's based on the Dragons having 20+ seniors, a ton of experience and skill, and a very good line. League affiliation has no bearing on that.

Why do people call it Central-Martinsburg? It's just "Central" people. Thanks.

Growing up I've ALWAYS known it as Central-Martinsburg as well. My Uncle and a family that lives in my development grew up in Martinsburg and have never corrected me when I say Central-Martinsburg so I'm not sure what the big deal is ???

Tons of 'Centrals' in the state...used especially in the state bracket when PIAA lists their pairings.

I think everyone on this D5/6 board know what is meant by 'Central.' Check the other thread for D6AA projections, the word Martinsburg hasn't been typed yet. Just a pet peave of mine. Proceed with the topic, sorry!

Good thing Green Machine doesn't hate the Scarlet Dragons, or he'd call them Central-Fartinsburg.

I've always wondered what it was ...central...to? It's in southern Blair, so how did the name come about? Over on this side of the mountain, we always called it Central-Martinsburg, because not that long ago, there were two Johnstown schools, Johnstown CENTRAL high school, and Johnstown CENTRAL CATHOLIC. When someone said Central, you had to ask clarification. I suspect BMCHS changed, to have a more independent identity. Although with all the notoriety they have had over the past year or so, they may want to change back, to avoid the negative publicity. And then we also have CENTRAL Cambria. It is the middle of Cambria County, unlike Martinsburg.

I think back in the day it was named Central because it is geographically located in the center of Morrison's Cove
