D-6 HEAVYWEIGHT FIELD IS STRONGER
The 275 weight class in District 6 got alot stronger over the weekend as we saw the return of Jon Neese (Marion Center). Jon has battled a maniscus injury that occurred in the football season and wrestled his first match of the year Saturday against United. Neese pinned Dan Boring in 1:50. Last year, Neese was 31-4 and finished 4th in the State tournament. The question now is: "Will his lack of conditioning become a factor?" I would think yes. However, Neese is good enough to come out of Districts and make some noise in the other tournaments as well. Could he possibly knock off Tate (Tyrone) and Andersen (Central Cambria)? This is quite possible. I wish Jon the best of luck in his return and also wish the rest of the 275 class and all other wrestlers luck as we head into the postseason. Neese doesn't have enough matches to have seed points, but should emerge as one of the top placewinners at Tyrone.

I am almost positive that he will get a crappy seed, because, just like Scube said it is based on points in D-6. An early matchup between two favorites is almost guaranteed. Maybe someone knows more about this than myself. I am interested in hearing your thoughts, opinions, or knowledge of this topic.

Neese will be seeded pretty high(I'm thinking top 5 if not 3rd.)He will more than likely be unbeaten which means 4-0,that will be 20 points criteria #2(w/l record),criteria #1 is returning placewinner points, another 65points for 4th at states.Which will give him at least 85 points which right now will place him 6th.Then you have criteria #4-special circumstances, which could possibly take him as high as the top 3(If his coach pushes the issue at the meeting anyway.)
I hope the top 4 seeds go Tate,Andersen,Neese,Paris.A Neese vs. Terry "office linebacker" Tate would be a great final.I just hope both are healthy,if they are,it will be a match for the ages.Don't sit in the front row, there will be some big bodies flying around.
