Thoughts?

For me, disappointment. I really think James Franklin is the right guy for the job. In my opinion, I would have steered clear of a Penn State hire. Golden lost 4 of his last 6 games this year by complete blowouts. In 2012, he got blown out by K State and ND. He has been coaching with a black cloud over his head with sanction potential, but the games below speak for themselves. That just doesn't happen at Miami. He has been recruiting very well in Miami, but how hard is that to do? It will be interesting to see how he does in NJ, PA, MD. I have not watched a lot of Miami games but it is rumored that he is a horrible game day coach. I think his results will end up being a lot like Dave Wannstadt's. .

Much like O'Brien there is potential for me to change my opinion after the press conference but, thus far, very underwhelming

James Franklin is the guy..already drawing NFL attention....I don't know what to think of him now

There is an AP article that says "Miami AD state golden has no intentions of leaving". I don't know what to think, the fact that golden is being so mysterious about all of it makes me wonder.

It was poor reporting by Phil on BWI. Golden has pulled his name out of the running. I will be glad if it is not Golden. He has been blown out a lot at Miami and his recruiting is overrated. Betty White could recruit that school. That said, if it's Munchak I would have rather had Golden. Munchak has ZERO college recruiting experience. Kind of a big deal if you ask me.

Maybe, having had to deal with a program in trouble for the past 2 years has steeled him against wanting to have to do it again. Plus he's in a warm climate, that's not a bad thing.

Yeah, Phil Groz is reliable. He claimed 2 years ago to have information which will totally exonerate JVP. I have yet to hear it.
