Just got to talk to my nephew today who attends North Star high school. As usual he told me what's going on in hos life and school but today he told me something different: him and his buddies are serting up a dek/roller hockey league within their school. At first I laughed and thought it was just a little organized street hockey ordeal like back in my day, but then he went on to tell me that 40+ kids have signed up in only two days and they already have rules and a draft situation set up. Now I know this isn't the biggest deal but I think this is great, I love hockey and in our area it's pretty lackluster. These kids are setting something wonderful up, promoting a great sport and possibly we could see interest in somerset county go up? I hope so. Would love to hear what you guys think.

Uhm, I'm not too familiar with the area nowadays, if they wanted to play ice I guess they could just go down to planet ice? Which might as well be in somerset county since Cambria and somerset are so close. But I think for now they are just going to be playing on black tops and he mentioned something about there being an official dek hockey rink in his town.

That's well and fine and I know what he said, but I asked if there was ice. Simple question.
