I haven't heard that. I watched a baseball game with PM's AD yesterday and he didn't mention it. I will ask when I see him.

Rumors the last few years is that Chestnut Ridge wants to badly join the LHAC. If they would it would be
an awful decision. Ridge has had a decent run in all sports the last few years but in the few match ups
with Mountain League teams, have just been out classed (and in all sports the LHAC is typically
stronger than the Mt. League). IMO, in football and baseball they would night in and night out get
manhandled (ask Central how they fared in the LHAC before returning to the Mt. League).
In basketball, Ridge would also be overmatched most nights and that is with having one of the top
coaches in the area with Coach Randy Meck. Of course when Central was in the LHAC, they had Forshey
and not Nevins at the helm so....well enough said there. Central finally wised up and removed Forshey.
Ridge should look at the Mt. League as it would be more suitable to their classification. How many "BIG" games
has Ridge had the last 5 years ? Well....every night in the LHAC is usually a tough matchup. If the
admin or parents really think they can compete in the LHAC, then best of luck to them. A Central
connection once told me they won approximately 30% of their games in the LHAC (all sports included)
and that was with winning a few league titles in baseball where Central has been pretty competitive
for about 50 years. Ridge should do their homework.

Are you saying that Chestnut Ridge should focus on getting wins by avoiding competition?

Not saying that at all just saying schools should go where they are competitive. Winning isn't the ultimate goal but
teaching character and competiveness is. A mixture of playing inferior, equal, and superior teams accomplishes
that. Should Ridge play only Single A teams to insure victories ? The answer is no. Just pointing out that
schools should be in conferences that suit their skill level. I watched Ridge play Central in football the last
two years and the games were decided by halftime. The Central JV team was competitive playing the second
halves of those games. And Central is very similar in school enrollment. I'm not saying Ridge isn't good in
sports as I know they have a nice group of athletes. Over the past few years when Ridge has had a nice group
of athletes in all sports, what were there results playing against Mountain League teams and LHAC teams ?

Not saying Central has better programs but pointing out that Central has a better history in most sports and
they left the LHAC for a reason.

I highly doubt CH is leaving the LHAC.

Ridge would certainly apply to the LHAC and they would be a good fit. They would compete well in most sports. Every schools has ups and downs in every sport, but ridge would be right in the middle in the LHAC.

Versus LHAC and MAC schools that last two years (just a recent sampling, Ridge was playing mostly westpac before that) Ridge is 6-3

It's funny that you think the reason Central is better now is because they left the LHAC. Both of their district titles in football recently they went 3-0 each year against teams in the LHAC in the district playoffs.
