Game tonight at 7:00 on Root Sports. Pirates looking to regain themselves after a dreadful weekend in Milwaukee.
Meanwhile on the farm, Gregory Polanco was named IL Hitter of the Week.
Here is what his season is looking like so far.
.465 (20-43) 2 Homers, 2 Doubles, 2 Triples. 11 RBI, 9 Runs.
Fun stat: Polanco has 4 strikeouts in 11 games, Marte has 17 in 12. Can't have that from a leadoff hitter, maybe Polanco comes in and takes on that role.

Overturned call and a homer. Great. Down 4-3 after 4 and the rain is falling pretty good in Cincy right now.

You can take one thing from this inning, other than the average pitching. That one hop throw by cutch completely describes why he is the MVP. That was a 40 yard throw, roped it, and literally made what looked like an easy no brainier steal into a close out. That type of play is how you win games kids.

Quite possibly the wildest game of baseball I've ever witnessed

Wet humid... Ball doesn't carry... Hmmm why would anyone with options, sign to pitch in that little league field?

Wild game, hopefully they can pull it out tomorrow evening. Have to hope Gerrit Cole can pitch well in the second game, because the bullpen is at least logging 3 innings tomorrow in the conclusion of the first game. The Pirates don't have an off day for a while, so it would be nice to save the pen as much as possible.
But what a joke of a ballpark! Yeesh. Some of those homers are fly outs in a lot of other stadiums.

I'm not even kidding but I bet if I played an entire season in that ballpark even I could clobber out 15 jacks.
