California Chrome is going for the triple crown on June 7th. This is the most dominant horse I've seen in my lifetime. If I were president Obama yesterday. I would have borrowed $17 Trillion from China put it all on this horse and we would be a debt free nation today.
Does anyone is bleachercoaches land follow horse racing?

I just saw that the owners said they will pull the horse out of the race if they won't let him use his nose strip. I don't even understand why it's even a rule or an issue if it's not a problem in other states.

It helps him breathe, I don't understand why the Belmont Stakes would take issue. From the organizers perspective, their race is only relevant when they have a horse going for the triple crown, can't believe they would risk it over a breathing strip. I'm sure the higher ups of horse racing and NBC told those in charge of Belmont that this is too important of a race not to not let him run over something so silly.

I don't think it was an issue, just that NY approves everything a horse wears. ESPN and the media wanted to blow it out of proportion because they are ESPN and the media... This was no different from any other horse race at the belmont.

I would be very surprised if anyone but California Chrome wins at Belmont. The I'm guessing the odds will end up in the 3/5 range again. The only way to make money on this horse will be picking it in a trifecta or maybe pair it with a longshot on an exacta. I haven't seen a horse this dominate since Barbaro.
I'll Have Another would have had the same issue at the Belmont as Cali Chrome. The only reason it wasn't an issue is because I'll Have Another had to sit out the final leg of the Triple Crown with an injury.
