Just wanted to say we are getting old. As the playoffs start tonight we mark the 15th Anniversary of the 1999 State Championship season for Tyrone.
Thank you for you current contributions and Congratulations Coach Scott Gummo, Pat McNelis, and Steve Johnson, and all your teammates. Your success will be forever etched in Golden Eagle lore as the first and hopefully not the last.

Thank you for the link TAHS. I had forgotten many of the details of the game and it was nice to see it again. As good as Jones was that day the Tyrone defense was fantastic. I remembered the run Jones had at the end of the game but didn't remember the pick 6 or that Tyrone actually trailed at halftime. What a great team and great memory for the entire Tyrone community.

Yea the defense won the game in many ways. Jones sealed it but the winning score was actually the Tim Dry pick 6.
