So would BG have been a final four team in AAA?

Hard to say but they beat one of the final 4 27-3 on their home field so the argument could certainly be made.

I don't think it would be a lock, but not out of the question if they were given the same bracket Somerset was given.

Maybe through the route Somerset has taken but not even a semifinalist in AAA WPIAL.

You guys are going to find out just how over-rated Somerset was and is and how easy of a bracket they had when Wood absolutely destroys them today.

Somerset isn't really overrated, they've exceeded all expectations they have had for this year. They are playing with house money right now.

Some picked Clearfield to beat them in the district championship, Somerset crushed them.

A lot more expected them to bow out to Selinsgrove, they crushed them.

And then, Bethelehem Catholic came along and most thought that's where the run would end, and Yep they crushed them 30-0.


Wood should probably beat Somerset 45-0, but we'll see what happens. I hope Somerset can hang, I'm not betting on it.

Somerset might be a cut below Central Valley, West Allegheny, Bishop McDevitt, and Wood, but it really doesn't matter. Anything can happen in a one game scenario. No one thought Avonworth would beat North Catholic, Erie Cathedral would lose, and Clairton is an OT victory away from being out of the WPIAL playoffs.

I do think if Somerset was in WPIAL this year they still make it to the semis of WPIAL.

Against BG? Can't say I agree with that one. I didn't come away from that game thinking Somerset was the better team or that BG got lucky. I think BG still wins that game most of the times.

they're a single A club with a great team...that night they were better...
