Stalling

I have seen such bad stalling this year from many different wrestlers. They will continue to do so until these refs start calling it.
The refs on the other hand will only call it when enticed by the crowd. (Regardless of which team you are on) I wonder how much
more exciting wrestling may be for the occasional fan if they actually got to see some movement in the match.

Their are many different definitions of stalling and I would like to share a few with our local ref's:

To halt the motion or progress of; bring to a standstill.
To come to a standstill
A ruse or tactic used to mislead or delay
To employ delaying tactics

If you follow College wrestling its the same topic there. The problem is the first period is 3 minutes of pushing around and trying to stay away from each other without being dinged for stalling. I thought this was a contact sport, not a pushing your opponent away from you for 6 minutes. Imo, true wrestling fans want to see good, exciting matches. It doesn't matter to me, at least, if the opponents are returning state place winners or two guys that records are below .500. Action is what I want to see. If we want the wrestling fan base to increase, then you have to have some excitement. One wrestler stalling is bad enough, but when they both do its just boring.
What about a guy that gets a lead and then stalls?

This is a topic that gets discussed all the time. It sure would be nice to get all refs to be on the same page and start hitting wresters for it. Kids start loosing matches because of stalling penalty points they will start pushing the action.
