ICC WEEK 7
Last Week: 5-1 Season: 26-3
Was surprised by the ease at which Glendale beat Tussey last week and that was my only loss.
Glendale (1-5) at Mo Valley (6-0) – Glendale comes back to earth this week as they travel up the road to Houtzdale to face the top team in the league. Mo Valley rolls along enroute to what appears to be an undefeated regular season with an easy win. Mo Valley 54 Glendale 6
Juniata Valley (2-4) at Tussey Mountain (0-6) – Juniata Valley has been tough to figure. They handle CK and struggle with Williamsburg. Which team will show up this week? Oh wait, it won’t matter, they are playing Tussey! JV 28 TM 0
Mount Union (3-3) at Everett (2-4) – Everett played BA very tough last week and Mount Union appears on the right track again. This has the makings of a very good football game. Everett’s Defense is pretty good but can they score enough points? Opinion is that they can’t. Mount Union 28 Everett 14.
Claysburg (3-3) at Williamsburg (2-4) - Round Two of this rivalry. This one counts for league standings. Similar result is foreseen. Claysburg 30 Williamsburg 12
Northern Bedford (4-2) at West Branch (3-3) - Looks like an easy pick but this could be a dangerous spot for the Panthers as they make the long trek north. WB may hang around awhile but after NB shakes off travel lag look for them to pull away late. NB 30 West Branch 13.
GAME OF THE WEEK
Southern Huntingdon (5-1) at Bellwood (4-2) - Two teams who are playing better week after week square off with, in all likelihood, the Gold Division title at stake. Neither team had as easy a time as anticipated last week but both were in “sandwich” situations between big games. In a very physical hard fought game, I’ll take the Blue Devils. Bellwood 20 S.Huntingdon 14
