Pitt BB Hire

It has been reported that Pitt hired Vandy's Kevin Stallings today to replace Jamie Dixon. It appears to be a 6-year deal which seems strange for a coach that was expected to be fired within the next month. I thought Pitt would take a little more time with the search, but I guess they feel like they got their man. Good luck to him.

It is also interesting to note that the head of the search firm is Vandy's former AD that originally hired Stallings.

I would have to imagine Jeter will try to finish up some work and try to graduate and get a grad transfer year somewhere.

2 of the Panthers top 3 commits for 2016 have both announced today that they are reopening their recruitment. Both PG Justice Kithcart and Corey Manigault made the announcements this morning although Kithcart sounds like Pitt will remain in consideration.

I'm impressed. I'm SOLD. Just spent an hour watching the Stallings press conference. This guy is the real deal, a genuine man and coach. He is NOT a Bill O'Brien, a James Franklin. or a Pat Chambers. He is NOT a "we're gonna dominate the state" type of guy. He's not a rah-rah guy with a lot of promises. If you get a chance, watch his press conference. You will change your mind about him.
