Just saw that Jose Fernandez died in a tragic boating accident. Sad day for Major League Baseball

Awful, awful news. He's lived an incredible life and was one of the best pitchers in the world. Sad tragedy.

The ESPN article says they pushed back his start from today to tomorrow. I would imagine this is why he was able to be out so late.

No he was supposed to start today according to ESPN, moved it from Monday to make room for someone else

I'm thinking it was a typo since buster said he was supposed to start today. As did Dan le Batard
