Always good to see the local kids get some statewide recognition! Congrats to all and especially Hoenstine on that 3A player of the year!

Duane Brown Apollo Ridge #100 ranked wr in state 601 yds and 7 scores
Parker Mitchell #34 with 842 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Come on man, I know the Central guys are excited but all state selections are questionable.

Brown actually had 13 receiving TDs to go with 7 rushing scores. He also only played 7 games.

Geez, what a downer you are. Nobody said any oh these kids were going to the NFL, so who cares where they are rated. Congrats to them on being recognized for their abilities

Deepcreek, sorry that I wanted to see a local player recognized for a great season. What criteria should they decide by, whose coach makes the most noise, or which kids are committed to play on the next level, stats?
Dragon, I would not expect a Central fan to pull for Tyrone player. and may be he should have made it as an athlete and not a wide receiver then.
and Cole Booth from Berlin ran for 578 in only 4 games. He did not make the cut and Windber's Evan Quinn was 9th in the state in tackles per game, he did not make the cut.

I was most surprised with Malik Shepherd from Beaver Falls not being on the team. He was the difference in the game against Central, and was the best player on the field in the 3A State Championship game.

I thought about this too. Cole averaged 21.4 yards per carry. He was on pace for 2,000 yards, but that's neither here nor there. Just stinks to think about.
