Depends if Jeannette tries to blow the top off the defense early and often. Steel High hit some big plays. I'm not sure Homer can make the same mistakes again and win. Dumb penalties hurt, aggressive penalties can be overcome

Jeannette too much speed. Unless Homer can control possession, this one is not close.

HC uses same recipe to win this week just like the last 2 weeks. Limit huge splash plays when on Defense and control the LOS. HC brings home the GOLD in a close one.

I'll stick with the 20-14 score. It's been good to HC.

Homer rushed for 250 against Guilfoyle. Guilfoyle has 2 300lb DT's, 2 6'2 DE's that are big and quick, and 3 LB's that average about 195lbs and can run.

Jeanette averages about 210lbs up front and their LB's average about 170lbs but are probably a little quicker than Guilfoyle's. You would think that would bode well for H-C. However, no one is quicker off the ball than Jeannette and Jeannette will not lose this game because of arrogance. They will lock up in man and force the freshman to beat them through the air.

Make no mistake this is the key to the game. 10-12 play drives to keep the Jeannette O off the field. It's real simple, if H-C rushes for under 100 it's going to be a long day. If they rush for 150-200 they'll have a shot. If they rush for over 200 they'll win. Regardless, what a year for Homer.

All games are also on HSFN.com. I think I paid 9.95 for 30 day subscription. You can live stream almost all state level playoff games and championship games in the country. Not espn quality but not bad. I have used this site for a few years now.

Sounds like today's population in Homer City is topping out around 4 or 5 people...
