They do have some experience but still young.  Wilmington big.  I could see this being an “upset”

Taking a look at some of the #s for SC and wow!

Career Stats

QB Stone Hollenbach over 4,500 passing yards and 51 TDs. He's a junior.

RB Gaige Garcia over 4,000 yards rushing and 67 TDs. He's a sophomore!

And of course #5 ranked recruit in the country 6'3" WR Julian Fleming who has 99 receptions for over 2,300 yards and 32 TDs. He's also a sophomore!

Honestly not trying to discredit S.C. because they have a great pedigree and tradition, but you have to also consider the fact that the competition in classes 1-3 even 4 to some degree is not as great in the east than it is in the west. There are just far more small schools in the west. Hence all those great players with all those wonderful stats playing last year and they were mercy ruled by S.V.

Steel Valley was also loaded and led by a couple D1 seniors. SC's 2 best players were freshman. Wilmington will obviously look to keep the ball out of the hands of SC with their dominating run game. Three 1,000 yard rushers is pretty impressive in it's own right.

No doubt Steel Valley was special, but it is just a simple fact that the east is very weak in regards to small school football only bc the schools are much larger. Again, Southern Columbia is a flat out power house program, but those guys aren’t putting up those numbers playing in the WPIAL or much of western pa
