Do you think the punishment was harsh enough ?

Do you think he was sincere when he apologize?

IMO, I dont think it was that bad of a hit. Yea it was from behind and that wasnt called for but it hockey. Did you see they way eveyone jumped on top of Moore. That could have done something with the injury.

It takes alot for someone to apologize and do think that he was sorry and sincere.

I think the punishment was harsh enough but i agree with the league in waiting to see how he recovers from his injuries before waiting to see if he should be suspended even longer.
Bertuzzi crossed the line when he cowardly hit him from behind but i have seen worse hits than that.
Yes i do believe he was sincere but if i was the one that was hurt i don`t know if i could forgive him or not.

it wasnt the fact that he hit him from behind, he would have just knocked him out with that shot. but the put all his weight on his neck and jam his head into the ice was absolutely foul. i hope he has charges placed against him, i dont care if it was payback or not, in no world does a broken neck equal out a concussion, no way at all. and why can't the NHL do away with all the fighting, the Europe form of the NHL has absolutely no forms of fighting at all and people actually go to the hocky games to watch hockey, not a fight.

what was the punishment?

If it was less than a year then it wasnt harsh enough. Cheap shots should not be tolerated.

He is out for the rest of the season and the playoffs and was fined i believe either $250,000 or $500,000 i can`t remember which.
He also has to apply for admission to the league next year and if Moore is not able to play by then they will probably keep the suspension going for at least 1/2 of next year as well.
So, i think it was a pretty stiff punishment and deserved as well.

this is one of the most effective punishments. Not only do you not let him play in the playoffs when he is an effective player of the canucks. They do not let him play until moore is able to play again. Moore has a neck fracture and it could be a while before he plays again. What if Moore is never able to play again, does that mean that the NHL will never allow Bertuzzi to play again? It will be intresting to see if the NHL stands strong in this punishment.
