It's not considered the higher seed...The host team/ District is the team that appears above the other in the bracket. This is rotated etc,,through the cycle of the bracket.

HOW does Southern Columbia host their playoff game?

All of the games are like that. The team on the top half of the bracket is able to host the game if their field meets the criteria. (I’m guessing it must be turf and have a minimum seating capacity).

The only ones not hosting are the WPIAL games which are still the district championship round.

I’m guessing South Williamsport is playing in Williamsport due to not meeting the requirements. However, they are playing as close to home as possible.

Similar how Central is playing at Mansion Park. They probably have to play on turf so Mansion is the best venue closest for them.

Take a look at the brackets. Most of the teams on the top of the bracket have a home game or a location close to their school.

Yep if Central were to advance they’ll be headed to Pittsburgh area just like 2 years ago when they played Central Valley at CV. Last year Belle Vernon came to Central Cambria.

Made the right move because they won arguably the weakest Single A bracket in recent history?

Hats off to them for winning the games they were put in, but it’s going to be back to reality this week I’m afraid, and BG is going back down to A next year so it’s all a moot point.
