I know I'm definitely in the minority on here when it comes to racing preferences, but this just had to be seen to be believed! At Las Vegas on Saturday qualifying races in NHRA Top Fuel, Scott Kalitta and Brandon Bernstein ran side-by-side 4.47 sec. ET's and BOTH also ran speeds of 333+ MPH!!! That, ladies and gentlemen, is TRUCKIN'! 5 minutes prior to that, Scott's cousin and teammate, Doug Kalitta, ran 4.48 at an astonishing 335+ MPH! A subsequent interview with his crew chief, Rohn Tobler, said Doug actually hit his parachutes a little late, and the computers on board said he topped out at 341 before he shut it off! Oh, yeah, top THAT, nascarboys.

I for one would probably wet myself if I went 8.90's @ 160 or so in a SuperComp car.

As good as the Kalitta's run in qualifying, this past weekend, Tony Schumacher, in the U.S. Army Top Fuel Dragster, won his THIRD out of four races so far this year. Go SARGE!

YAY!!! You race for 12 seconds in a day, congratulations. Try 5 hrs in a **** pit of 150 degrees plus with cars just as fast as you all day around you. Mash the gas and hold on, thats all it requires to drive the car.

The top fuel and funny boys pull more G's than the space shuttle on launch. Some have retired prematurely due to detached retina's. All you have to do is stay awake for 500 miles. Dale E Sr. couldn't even do that a time or 2. I'd rather burn out than rust.(Neil Young) Volley- the ball's on your side now.
