Did you see Westmont play this year? There were times when Mahler carried his team offensively. They didn't shoot the bell that well from the perimeter this year like they have in the past.
Mahler was one of the best big man in D6 this season. He averaged double figures in both points and reboudns this year. He raised his game to another level during the playoff run where he averaged over 18 points and 12 rebounds.
He was definitely deserving of the 3rd Team All-State.

he may have had a couple good games, but i say majority of the season he was the one being carried... those playoff numbers do sound good and look good seeing that westmont made it pretty far, but i dont think a couple good games makes you worthy of all state selection

When a player averages double figures in rebounds and points for the entire season, that means he had more than a couple of good games. I believe Peters was the only other Westmont player to average more than 10 points per game. So yes, that means Mahler carried them offensively.

The proof is in the pudding and stats for that matter. If you don't see it by now, then you never will I guess. Regardless, Mahler had an outstanding season and career for the Hilltoppers.

I don't think Cruz of McCort or Massaros of CC either deserved to be all D6 team. how could you not consider Bernozalli of PC as a guard?? he was one of the better pointguards in the area

Mesaros is what put that team to the record they had, Ive seen them play, yeah their defense was good but their offense wasnt good at all, he was what made that team better, hes a good player and helped other players produce more...he not only had the stats but he was All D-6... Cruz no but mesaros is definately on the list
