Spider-man on the bases...

Now I've heard everything. Supposedly MLB is allowing the Spider-man logo to be on the bases and the on-deck circle for a week in June -- for a hefty advertising fee, of course. Now, I'm not some kind of tiresome purist, but enough's enough. What's next, one of those male enhancement pill logos to cover the Louisville Slugger trademark? Come to think of it, that's a better idea than the Spider-man nonsense. Let's face it, most guys could use a bigger bat. (Not me, of course.)

the advertisements are getting out of control. stadiums arent even real stadiums anymore, they are corporate logos. i mean come one, PNC park in place of three rivers? where is the history in that? but this whole movie deal is horrid. they actually wanted the safety nets behind home plate to have them too....

welcome to publicity america. its just sad how everything now a days must have some big corporate name or whatever, but what can ya do? this is one of the reasons im such a fan of European soccer, the stadium names consist of Old Trafford, Craven Cottage, Ewood Park, White Hart Lane, St. James' Park, Highbury, San Siro, Nou Camp, Bernabeau....now there is tradition!
does anyone know why they called it PNC park? because of the tv's in the bathroom, you can P-N-C the game.
