Bedford leads 11-0 at the half, The bisons have shut down Kanuch thus far and Derek Harris picked off a pass and returned it for a toucdown, over a 50 yard return I guess, then Kyler Ford added a 36 yard field goal near the end of the half, the two point conversion was good after the harris int return for the touchdown.

westy scored with 24 seconds to go to go up 12-11, bedford drives down the field and kyler ford kicks the winning field goal as time runs out...bedford over westy 14-12

Bedford got lucky tonight But never the less they are 2-0 and i guess that is all that matters!!

Bedford didnt get lucky, if u were at the game then u would realize that westy got lucky...had it not been for stupid turnovers and this and that going wrong for the bisons, westy would not have stood a chance. the bisons fumbled the ball 5 yards from the endzone for crying out loud. then on 4th and 4 they go for it, get it, then get sacked for 20 yards and endeded up having to kick a 50 yard field goal (which missed just wide) rather than a 30 yarder. the bison D shut down brad kanuch like u wouldnt believe, i doubt the kid had more than 100 yards in the game. so the only way bedford got lucky was bad luck. in my opinion westy is the team that got lucky by not having lost as bad as they should have

That being said, Gunner, the Bisons still have to be concerned with these second half scores against them, no matter how they come. It sound as if on the radio Ford came up big time in the clutch -- not only kicking but at QB.

On the radio, after Westmont's go ahead score, Topper and Edwards sounded like they were about to go walk to their cars -- when suddenly the Bisons put on that great drive.

Two questions: How was the field after the rain? Westmont used to have one of the sloppiest playing fields around.

And what's the status on Troy? Anybody know?

I want to know what happened to him and why he couldnt play for most of the second half, and apparently the field was in great shape for the game. I guess it had just enough to time to dry out.

kyler ford did come up big with the bisons, especially on the last drive of the game...he went 2 for 2 passing then nailed the winning field goal. cant get much more perfect than that. and the bisons lack of second half whatever is exactly y i dont consider them to b lucky to have won. making costly turnovers all the time is not luck my friends. and im pretty sure troy just had a severe cramp in the second half, the trainer seemed to have him drinking the water pretty heavily and the way they were stretching and rubbing his leg made one to believe that it was just a cramp. after westy scored the go ahead td. troy put his pads and helmet back on and began doing a warm up run up and down the field as if he was going back in, but swaim stuck with ford and saved troy. i dont c any reason y troy wont start friday nite against the rangers.

also the field did seem to be in great shape, there was mud/dirt yes, but compared to years past it was almost like a fairway on a golf course. i only had a few complaints about it...such as the loudspeakers were only loud enough for the westy fans to hear them, the bathrooms consided of TWO port-a-pottys, and no lights....i was sweatin my petootie off out there and i was in the stands!
